Sale of my artwork Mycelial Algorithms: validation of my subject choice

I created this work earlier in the year as part of the initial exploration during my honours year. My topic of practice research this year is, An investigation into the mycorrhizal network connection as a visual metaphor for the interconnectedness between humans and the natural environment.

The artwork portrays the similarities and interconnectedness between nature, technology and humans. The mycorrhizal network is an underground network of fungal threads and connects to various plant matter, enabling a communication system between plant organisms. Similarly, humans use technology to share and communicate information.

Creating and selling my first artwork of the year, boosted my confidence in my choice of subject matter and research. I am grateful and thankful to the person who bought my artwork.
